Mrs. Collins graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She earned a Masters Degree in Education in Technology from Lesley University. She then earned a Professional Development Degree in Science and Education and Educational Technology from UNLV. Mrs. Collins also earned a Master of Education Degree in Instructional Design from WGU. She began her teaching career at the middle school level teaching physical science. She then spent ten years at the high school level teaching Chemistry, Physics, Physics Honors, and Geoscience. Mrs. Collins returned to the middle school level with the intent of increasing student engagement and proficiency by utilizing varied instructional strategies and inquiry-based investigations.


Mrs. Collins has two children. One is starting his freshman year of high school in Clark County Schools and the other is starting her freshman year of college in Kansas. In her spare time, Mrs. Collins loves spending time with her family, going for walks, playing soccer, watching her daughter play soccer, watching her son play baseball and watching the Vegas Golden Knight games!
