Michael Moloney was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. Later, he earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership at UNLV.  Mr. Moloney taught 5th grade at Laura Dearing Elementary School for two years. Next, he transferred to Cannon JHS, where he taught 6th grade science and reading.  He also was the head boys’ basketball coach there for four years. Mr. Moloney coached freshman football at Del Sol H.S. while teaching at Cannon.  Mr. Moloney then went to Swainton MS, where he taught 6th grade reading and coached the boys’ basketball team. Mr. Moloney has enjoyed teaching 6th grade science and running the boys’ basketball program at Del Webb Middle School for the last fourteen years. Mr. Moloney’s goal is to motivate all students to work their hardest to achieve their maximum potential.
