Ms. Torchin was born and raised in New York.  She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University.  After graduation, Ms. Torchin decided to live and work in Manhattan.  She was employed by an advertising agency where she worked on advertising campaigns for various car manufacturers and soft drink companies.  After living in New York City for several years, Ms. Torchin decided to return to school and earn her Master’s Degree in Education from Fordham University.  She believes it was the best decision she has ever made.  After graduation, Ms. Torchin worked for four years as a second grade teacher on Long Island.  She then had the opportunity to move to Las Vegas and continue her teaching career out west.  Ms. Torchin has been teaching for over twenty years and has loved every moment of it.
