Mrs. Celaya is a native Las Vegan. She attended Tomiyasu Elementary, Woodbury Junior High, and Chaparral High.  She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UNLV, and her Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University. Mrs. Celaya started her teaching career as a sixth grade math teacher at Greenspun Junior High School where she taught for three years. She then took a year off to stay home after the birth of her twins. When she returned, she taught at Lawrence Junior High for two years and at Findlay Middle School for six years. Mrs. Celaya is thrilled at the opportunity to be part of an amazing team of educators at Del Webb M.S. She strives to create an environment where everyone excels and where students are able to link math to real life. Her goal is to make learning fun, and she greatly appreciates the opportunity to help shape the brilliant minds of tomorrow. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Celaya enjoys spending time with her family, going to shows, traveling and reading.
