Science 6, 7, & 8

The Del Webb Middle School Science program offers courses for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students that are based on the Nevada Department of Education Science Standards. These grade-level courses delve into fundamental scientific concepts and engineering practices across various disciplines including life sciences, Earth and space sciences, and physical sciences. At each level, students engage in hands-on experiments, interactive demonstrations, and collaborative projects that encourage curiosity and critical thinking. Students are taught the importance of safety in lab activities while integrating technology to enhance learning. Through these processes, students build skills as innovative thinkers and problem solvers. The curriculum not only explores scientific principles but also provides an understanding of the contributions of various figures and cultures to the field of science.

Grade 6 Science

The 6th grade Science course introduces essential concepts in Earth and space sciences, physical sciences, and has a focus on life science. Both the standard and accelerated classes include hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and projects that encourage inquiry and critical thinking. Students engage in lab activities while following safety protocols. The curriculum emphasizes diverse contributions to science and incorporates technology to support learning. This course fulfills the 6th grade Science requirement and lays the groundwork for future scientific studies.

Grade 7 Science
