Mrs. Whiting graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Education. She earned a Masters Degree in Education in Gifted Education from Oklahoma City University. She then earned a Masters Degree in Jewish Education from Hebrew Union College. She began her teaching career at the middle school level teaching mathematics. She spent 16 years teaching mathematics for middle and high school. Mrs. Whiting then took four years to teach 5th grade at Glen Taylor Elementary School here in Henderson. She is thrilled to return to the middle school level to teach science this year!

Mrs. Whiting has been married to her husband for twelve years and has two boys. Her husband is a PE teacher and coach at a local private school. One son is starting his 5th grade year here in Henderson and the other will be joining her on campus as a new Del Webb 6th grader. In her spare time, Mrs. Whiting loves spending time with her family, watching her oldest participate in Jiu Jitsu, and listening to the endless political theories and ideas that her youngest loves to develop. She is excited to be joining the Del Webb community and looks forward to meeting all the new students.
